Hi folks. Done some searching to avoid unnecessary posting, but alas, here goes... I'm in the process of acquiring surround speakers for my studio, and I just got a DVD+R drive to burn my mxes onto (mainly for faster backup...) What I'm wondering is.... if I get the surround encoding for Nuendo, will I be able to burn my mixes onto DVD video with the stock software that came with it? Do I have to get new burning software? Also, is there some way to set up my system so I can watch DVDs and have the sound go out of my MOTU 896's 6 separate outputs for each speaker?
I am running (Nuendo) an Athlon AMD 2100, as well as a Mac TiBook 867 ( i could use either to watch the DVDs, whichever will work!) I've seen it possible with the soundblaster, does this mean I have to buy one of those to watch DVDs??? When I try to configure the speakers in XP, it won't let me choose the separate outputs... Any tips? Anyone doing something similar and it's working for them? Any advice on this situation (DVD burning/ watching in surround) would be much appreciated!
