Very cool peice of work here. I like it.
The flange/chorus speed & depth on the vocals get just a hair too much for my taste at times other than that vox sound great. On the other hand the chorus/flange fits the song and you know what you're going for.

Twas a nice listen.

Just wanted to say I really dug your song...not much to add mix wise that hasen't already been said...I really like your drum and bass sound on this...really cool song man!

Thanks variaxman! Btw, do you have the line 6 variax? If so, do you like it? Again, thanks for your encouraging comments and observations.

Thanks! I appreciate your observations. I might have overdid it on the vox.

I like the old timey sound in the beginning. The switch from the tinny voice to the regular voice may be a bit abrupt, perhaps do a over the course of a few words using a fade of some sort.

Great composition.

Second that.

WHERES THE LOW END! Theres bass I just cant hear it thumping is anyone else with me?

sick tune though. i like when the electronic beat comes in.

Edit: just read you used distorted bass... did you use distorted straight from the amp... if you haev a clean feed trying putting that in the mix. it will do wonders for your almost perfect mix.

I almost like the non vinyl version better :( I know how that feels you worked hard on your vinyl intro lol but for some reason I think I might go for the other one anyone else agree?

ps - the slide guitar is FCKIN AWSOME!

Thanks! I purposely left the distortion bass by itself because i feel it brings an intensity to the chorus by switching to the natural bass sound. I wanted to impact the chorus, but by approaching it at the low-end rather than doing something with heavy guitars or something. But thanks for the idea. I'm glad you liked the slide and as far as the the non-vinyl version, that's fine too which is why i put it up as an option.

Hehe...You're never going to satisfy everyone!! I love the distortion and the vinyl sound. I say stop playing with it and enjoy it! :)

Hey just listened to the new version. I never thought I would say this but, I think the vinal effect needs to be there. It sounds way better transitioning into the uneffected part. The non-vinal version flicks like a switch too much for my taste.

If I had my way I would see if I could keep it, but lighten up on the big clicks that seem to hault the vocals when they hit. I don't know the plug you have so I don't know whats possible. Totaly a taste thing any way.

Very well done song. I can see the bass comment. I can also see where the average "radio" listener would more than likely not notice much. The song is interesting enough that it sort of flys over your head. At least it did for me.

As an over all view It sounds Very Good to me. I tend to agree with Erik. It's art, there are no rules that can't be broken :D Those clicks at the begining may not be my fave, but they certainly perk the ears up :)

Thanks Erik and F.S.,

Thanks for helping me to "fine tune" this thing. I've decided to stop with the changing of this song. I figure my time might be better spent working on the new one which hopefully will be done in about 3 weeks. Thanks again to everyone on this tune. But if I would still love to hear any feedback from anyone about this song. Who knows, I may change my mind tomorrow. :)
