I got a Tama Superstar for $800 from my drum teacher. The thing is amazing. Its like... 25-30 years old. It is so much better than today's Superstars. I fucking love this set. I have finally found the set I want. Kinda surprising... I was expecting a Force 3005... but to be honest, this drum set sounds better than a lot of maple drum sets I have tried. Ill post pics as soon as I take pictures. The best part is that I got really nice hardware (2 straight stands, 1 boom stand, 1 hi hat stand, and one snare stand). I love these drums. But now I must seach ebay to find a matching 16" floor tom. Does anyone know what wood was used on the old Superstars? My teacher isnt sure, but he thinks its either birch or a birch/maple hybrid. Anyways, I'm really excited, and can't wait till I get home (I'm in my dad's office now) and play it for real. And all i had to give was $800 and my old shitty drum set
.
