Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a disorder associated with depression and related to seasonal variations of light. SAD has been linked to melatonin, a sleep-related hormone secreted by the pineal gland in the brain. This hormone, which may cause symptoms of depression, is produced at increased levels in the dark.

The symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder appear in the winter months and leave with the return of longer days of sunlight, in the spring. They include body aches and pains, changes in energy level, sleep/wake patterns, and appetite, avoidance of social situations, reduction in the quality of sleep, drop in energy level, weight gain, irritability, inability to complete tasks, decreased creativity, and suicidal thoughts.

Dr. Harald Dobnig and his team have found that vitamin D deficiency leads to increased mortality. These results still hold when they take into account such factors as exercise and heart disease. Low vitamin D status has 'other significant negative effects in terms of incidence of cancer, stroke, sudden cardiac death and death of heart failure,' Dr. Dobnig said. The evidence of ill effects from low vitamin D 'is just becoming overwhelming at this point.' Vitamin D3 is usually produced by exposure to the UV-B in sunlight, but in high latitudes, especially in the fall and winter, insufficient UV-B gets through the atmosphere to produce enough vitamin D3, even with hours of exposure. The researchers are recommending that people at risk for deficiency take 800 IU of vitamin D3 daily. Just don't go overboard — as a fat-soluble vitamin, D3 is more capable of causing adverse effects at unnaturally high dosages. The human body tops out at producing about 10,000 IU per day."

As a result, they are at risk for disorders and diseases caused by this nutritional deficiency, including osteoporosis and possibly even cancer and high blood pressure. The cause? Lack of sunlight.

Vitamin D is primarily produced by your skin when exposed to sunlight, and with so many people in the United States being brainwashed into thinking that the sun is bad for your help, few people get enough sunshine these days, especially in northern geographic regions like the State of Maine.

I dunno, I really liked that! Especially the 3rd (or was it 4th?) vocal segment. With some proper vocals on there, that could be a winner:cool:

You need mental help. At best, people get a laugh out of your "attempts". Just claim you're trying to do comedy, and people will believe it.

How come you ignored my challenge in the other thread, retard????

After some consideration I realized that you have captured two niche markets:

  • Nintendo game development and production (circa 1986)
  • Military interrogation, research and development

I think you have real talent and could easily be the next dan deacon! just get some micky mouse vocals in there and your set! :p

I dig this I'd love to have the whole collection where I can put your cd on repeate and password protect the remote so people better apreciate your amazing low-fi production talents

I have officially removed my subscription to this or any other Jordan thread. Knock yourself out, man. If I want comedy, I'll watch Seinfeld. At least they KNOW they're doing comedy.

Jordan, please listen to me. If you want to be good (better) at what you do, learn. Don't be afraid to learn. Every brilliant person, at some point had to learn things to get that way. If you ever want to get something that will make people listen, learn how to record, experiment with recording techniques, and don't just assume you know everything. That is the worse thing you can do. Your ego is to big. People tell me I do good work, but I never let it go to my head. You think you're great, but a lot of people seem to think that you are just a big headed amature. When I started, I made some stuff that sounded close to what you have here. I didn't have any patience at all, and would crank out like 3 in a day. Sound familiar? It was only when I understood that you have to take time to do something right, and stop thinking your crap is gold, that I got better. Please take this advise.
