Quick tune, short as well.

Posted for no other reason than.. It's Sunday!

In the spirit of Sunday.

4000

It's weird, vocals are too loud.

Anyway.

Well that was different :).

It does have a Sunday feeling to it. Nice production.

that was cool! :D nice vocal sound.. maybe the vocals are a hair loud, but not by much.. still using the A.N.Piano?

I liked it, but didn't think you would continue the Russian, boom-chick, thru the entire ditty. Made me wanna fold my arms and start kicking my legs out in front!

I love your singing voice. It allows you do get away with some very abstract stuff in the background, and enjoy what you are singing. It almost sounds like it is going to "break" a lot of the times, but that is one of the qualities I like. Also, without being "Beatle-ish"...it seems to come from that era. What a good era that was too.

That was definitly weird, but in a good way.
Kind of like Fiddler on the Roof meets Woody Allen.:D
I liked it.

Nice piano and vocals.

Emeric you are truly on a brilliant run. I mean that honestly.

I think a number of things are going on with the Sunday songs.

First, they're cool weird songs and ditties.

Next, they're minimally taxing in the mixing department. What a relief, yeah?

Finally, they sound like a transitional phase. Although they're songs in their own right, they also sound like you working out new skills - a different instrument, minimalist sound, tempo shifts, freedom from the strong song-form and carefully crafted and tailored arrangements you usually inhabit.

I'm looking forward to the next formal album.

In the meantime, nice tune, Emeric. :)

Doug H: Thanks for checking it out.

B.SABBATH: Yep still using the blasted nano-piano. Glad the vocals aren't way too loud, I usuallly keep turning them down, and down and down...

mixmkr: Thanks mix, that 'boom-chick' thing was hard to break out of, it's an indication of my piano skill though - i.e. left hand skills are lacking so I'm limited in what I can do! The Rssian thing ocurred to me as well, must of been all those recent Russian thread in the cave influencing me. :)

muzeman: "Fiddler on the Roof meets Woody Allen" wow! That's an even weirder thought then this tune! Thanks muze.

Twist: Thanks!

Slackmaster2K: Appreciate the listen Slack, it may last for a little while longer.

dobro: They are a shift, and they are easier to mix. Weird yes, cool, sometimes. 'Next Formal Album' You mean one with full out drums guitars etc? Don't know if I will be doing that for awhile. I am thinking of compiling a bunch of the old ones I've posted over the last year(s), 'I can't help you', 'America', 'Let Down', 'Summer Song' etc.

Thanks for listening all.

Nice. I couldn't imagine how a song could be "Fiddler on the Roof meets Woody Allen" until I listened it. It really reminded me of "If I Were a Rich Man."

The piano sounded real nice. I didn't think the vocals were all that loud. The one thing I would mention is the backing vocals that were repeating the "think the same" line overpowered the lead.

Cool.

Where did it go? I can't believe I missed an Emeric tune :(
Please, Emeric, put it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TripleM: Yeah for sure that line does get a bit buried, easy fix. Thanks for listening!

Sorry Terriel, did some reorganization and changed the path:

Fascinating! What a curious song. I loved the climb/slow-down tempo thing, but it felt like a prelude to something. What? I want more!! As always your vocals are awesome! I am addicted to your voice. But I really miss your guitar. Maybe you could burst into a guitar intro or something after that pop sound? i heard?

By the way, my friend, Where is my (quiet voice) CD? (LOUD VOICE) ;) :p ?

p.s. I want to know why all the people think the same.

Yeahhhh!!
.....Very Cool Em. I liked this alot. Very nice piano sound... Very dynamic recording.......
A great meandering thought.

Ok, so I didn't read all of the posts... so sue me.

Great stuff. Reminded me of something you'd expect Paul Mcartney to doodle around with. Very unique.

Great to hear a Sunday tune again!

Voices are superb.
Piano is clean..........................wheres your ax buddy???

I echo the McCartney feel of this ditty.
And what is that sound at the end?????
Sounds like you popped a Fosters :D

Keep 'em coming!
Joel

Terriel: Appreciate the listen. 'Curious' is a good description for it. I'll get a cd out to you soon, promise :) Why do all the people think the same? Got me there.

Thanks Guernica, no guitar solo's yet! Not in this tune, but others in the works.

JR#97, I did listen to too much Beatles, glad it still retains some uniquness. Thanks for checking it out.

jcmm:

"..........................wheres your ax buddy??? " - Gathering Dust :)

The sound at the end is me hitting the spacebar on my wireless keyboard to stop the recording. Then I popped another fosters..err.. Black Label.

Thanks all.

hey, Emeric

Long time no post! Glad to see you posting again, too bad this one is too short tho...but I still liked it. You always find something cool to do with piano.

when are you gonna post one with crazy time signature again?;)
