Summertime cover

This is the background music for a cover I'm doing of Summertime. I have yet to record the vocals so there is temporarily a piano track in its place.

My version of Summertime combines my two favorite versions, with the melody of the Janis Joplin version in the jazz style of the Ella Fitzgerald version.

The transition from the verse to the solo isn't very smooth, and if you all could listen to it and give tips, any tips for improvement, that would be great:)

I'm reluctant to listen to a song that requires me to sign up for anything. I still can't get Publisher's Clearing House off of my email. It ain't worth it, pal.
 
I use to do Summertime on the flute when I did live radio about twenty-five years ago. Love the song and would love to do it again. Thanks for reminding me.:)
 
I didnt know you had to sign up to listen to it, sorry...

Imeem is a great place for musicians , though, and I recommend signing up anyway.
