got 6 channels to work with, DMP3 (2) , Behringer Mixer (2), and Digi001 (2). Also have an RNC compressor. I have two SM57s, two MK012s, 1 AT4050, two C1000s (don't like 'em but thought I'd list 'em), one ATM250 kick mic, and one additional cheap LDC. Wasn't planning on micing the toms neccessarily but fyi there are only two toms. I'll be expierimenting for sure, but any starting points on what mic to use where and what pres to use on what drums would be helpful. Thanks a lot.

it'll sort of depend on the type of music, and what sound you're going for

if it's heavy shit, and you really need to hear the kick and snare cut, i'd use the DMP3 for those, and run the OH's into the digi 001

if it's something where you want a more open sound from the OH's, i would use the DMP3 for them

as far as micing, i'd stick the ATM250 in the kick, 57 on the snare, MK012's for OH's...maybe use the behri pres and a couple of the other mics for toms if you want - it might even be worth it to try throwing the 4050 as a room mic - again, based on what kind of sound you want, and the quality of the room
