Stupid question about connectors on Benchmark DAC1

I am considering purchasing a Benchmark DAC1 for playback in my project studio.

The 2 track digital output on my DAW is (RME soundcard) SPDIF using an RCA cable. Could I simply adapt that to the coaxial BNC connector on the DAC1?

I "sort of" believe that I can connect that way, but I wanted to feel more certain before I spend $1000 US.

No. BNC is word clock only. SPDIF is clock and the audio stream.
Doesn't the the DAC1 also have SPDIF?. Wondering then what is it's digital audio input?

According to Benchmark's website the BNC on the DAC1 is a S/PDIF input, so you should be able to adapt from RCA to BNC.

Well cool. Learn something about every day! And that's goot!

I had to look it up. I would have assumed the same thing, BNC on a converter is a word clock in or out.

By the way: Bayonet Neill Concelman and Threaded Neill Concelman, in case anyone was curious.
