Stupid Newbie Question

Thanks Brad...

I thought your whole freeway analogy was pretty neat...

All I want is my music to sound great...I want to record it the right way...mix it the right way...and finish it the right way...that's why I'm here...not to preach or condemn or judge anyone...I JUST LOVE MUSIC...and, yes, I happen to be a Christian...but that's not why I'm here, I just want as much help as possible to make my music sound the best that I can...

And I do want to say thanks again to all of those that have offered advice and have helped me with my basic stupid newbie questions. It has really helped me alot and I hope you all will continue to help as I need it as I will help you all in anyway I can as I learn...

Sorry, for the language abuse, I may am partly responsible for that one, because I my main language is English and I make lots of mistakes while typing quickly.

as long as Jesusfreak keeps it with his God Bless, it's ok for me, but I also understand Blue Bear in a way: I personally really don't like working with strongly religious people: they tend to be preachy, and expose their religion on any time (like the godd bless stuff).

So it is ok for Jesusfreak to post that, he also must understand that some people aren't really comfortable with that kind of greeting.

I'll admit to being somewhat reactionary to the issue.... bear's have bad days too - and reading this "god bless" shit just pissed me off at the time....

I know damn well people will post what they like -- fine...! I'm equally able to comment on their post content as well......... but trust me, I'll hardly lose sleep over the issue............

as far as i can tell you 97%insults and 3%useful imfo.why dont you move to one of the pro forums,after all ,this is home recording bbs and having a world famous recording engineer such as your self(whos work can be heard on such legendary albums as................ hmm, dont know of any)on this site just does not seem appropriate.

I don't really care how someone signs off.

I had religon shoved down my throat as a child and it left a rather bad taste in my mouth. I haven't been to church in years.

I'm not a religous man, but someone has to be in charge of all this caos.

I usualy ignore the comments.

Blue Bear, I personally have gained some insight on things that you have posted when it's been about gear. You have obviously spent alot of your time gaining knowledge about sound recording and have alot to offer those of us that don't know much. If you choose not to help me in particular, I understand. But speaking from a newbies point of view, there are alot of people here that can gain from your knowledge as well as the knowledge of others in here.

For those that do have a ton of gear and recording knowledge, my hat goes off to you all for spending time here to help those of us that are just getting into recording. There is probably alot of other things that you could be doing.

I know I have learned more here than I ever have in any book so far or any other web site so I must say thank you again.
