stupid mistake.....

My band got a return gig Saturday night ,the first time we played there was in September so we were getting the feeling of "don't call us we'll call you" anyhoo the stage fright was more intense this time than the first ,don't know why. So we proceed to blow through the first set ,the best we ever played ,we get two songs into the second set and my amp gives up the ghost. In all the worry and setting up i threw my coat behind th amp which i proceeded to push against th wall for anyone that doesn't know tube amps don't like excess heat, it blew the fuse which i didn't have a spare and when i fixed it today i noticed one of my preamp tubes ain't glowing ....but all was not lost i plugged all my effects into th board and kept it up, tone sucked, but we got a better response from the management and already got the next gig lined up ...way too long here but maybe my stupidity can serve as a reminder ...keep cool

in 8th grade, for graduation, our school band (that i was a percussionist in) was playing "Wipe Out!" for some odd reason... and seeing as i played guitar, my band teacher had me play guitar for it (my first public guitar performance ever, and what REALLY got me into playing guitar a lot more seriously), and me and the drummer (who was REALLY good) were like, the center stage for the song...

Well, i took my Fender Princeton Reverb amp to the place for graduation, and got it all plugged in, and jacked my guitar in, and NO SOUND! i flipped out! realize, i'm like, in 8th grade lol, so i went nuts haha... looked inside my amp at the tubes, it's missing. after carrying it about two hundred feet over pavement, i got even more scared. Then i looked down at the bottom of the amp near the reverb tank, and saw the tube, sitting there, on top of the reverb tank, being held in by the four inch high or so backing at the bottom back of the amp.

Phew!
