after hearing how dominate your overheads are, the first thing I would say is raise them up more, and try getting the kick mic in the kick.......unless you want a boomy sound, or try a second mic by the beater for some slap.

The vinyl 1970's chair is throwing the whole vibe off. You need to remove it. JK. Yeah probably put the kick mic in the kick. Try backing the snare mic off the head about 2-3". Yeah raise the overheads up about 4 feet more.

wheres the other thread? sound clip? what is that kick mic?

I will go look today and let you know...I completely changed the entire mic set up, and replaced the sound file...it made a WORLD of difference! Although right around 45 seconds in, I am hearing what MAY be phase...it only happens twice in the song, so I am not quite sure that it is...

Oh ya, isn't that chair awesome!

ya, while my bass player was laying down his tracks, the drummer went through about 50 Maxim magazines and cut out the best of the best...there are a couple up there that are distracting to say the least :)

LOL, I love your obvious babe collection there. First, point those damn overheads down into the set, not diagnally. Second, stick that mic you have on the kick IN the kick. Third, give that snare mic room to breathe. I've heard you clips before. ^ That should help. Try replacing those heads too. The one on your snare looks like a child's play snare.
