Hello,
Just enquiring if anyone out there uses the StudioMaster Series 5 16:8:2 or 16:4:2.
Love this consoles sound.And great to get back to Analogue.
My question is regarding the input channel levels.
When inputing a signal - mic (even using external pre-amp) or Line (bass thru DI), etc,
Input fader = 8,
Group fader = 0db,
Master faders = 0db,
I have to turn up the input channel Gain Control to just below the clipping point (approx 40db or higher)
The level register on the LED Bargraphs, on either the Groups or Master are vey low and definitely nowhere near illuminating the Red LED's.
The Input faders can only raise up to 10.
If anyone can provide any suggestion whether this is normal procedure on these consoles or if I doing something not quite right, I'd be much appreciated.
