studiomaster p7

Hi

I know this is a long shot, but I have a studiomaster p7, which has put itself into security lockout mode. (may have been when the guy I bought my open reel off demagnfied it)

Anyway I've tried resetting to factory settings and waiting 2 hours, trying again etc, but it simply won't exit its security mode.

I've contacted its original owner, but I was hoping someone might know of a trick to override its security mode??

It just flashes P1 if I remeber, and all system mutes are permanently on. Both my own security code and the override factory settings do nothing?

any help would be a life saver for me because I'm now in lymbo.

Studiomaster P7

Hi I am not sure about the Studiomaster mixer as I have never owned one but if the unit is locked the only thing that keeps it locked is internal power. I would assume like the passowrd on the bias settings on a computer that disconnecting the power it would be some type of battery inside the desk remove and replace and that would do the trick..as I say that is just using electronics logic but hey its worht trying what have you got too lose..
