DarknessRecords, I hope you are able to separate the wisdom from the hype. Suprstar's post, #19, pretty much sums up what you need to understand about why acoustic foam is the wrong thing to start with. Witzendo's comment about adding some foam to tame the cymbals is a good example of where acoustic foam has its place, to tame a particular problem after basic acoustic treatment is in place. Do ask if there is anything you are unsure of - asking is free whereas buying the wrong products isn't.
