I'm torn between these 4 LDC mics. The AKG is $160 while all the others are $200. Can anyone with experience with one or more of these mics please post your opinion/thoughts/experience with these mics? Which one sounds the best for the money, and is the best value as to what it comes with (flight case, shockmount, etc..)

I'm looking for a mic to record mid-range vocals and a good rock sound from guitar amps.

Soo, post your suggestions guys.

...for around $200 you'd be better off buying a good clean used Rode NT1000 (fairly common on eBay)...
...for example:

...it shares the same capsule as the NTK (just a solid-state version of the tube NTK) and is a noticeable step up from the microphones you listed...of those listed, the C1 and NT1-A are the better choices (IMHO)...just my $.02 ;)

I've said this before so sorry to sound like a parot but...
I vote for the NT1a, with a good pre like the dbx286a you won't regret it, I promise.

I bargained with different dealers and got the C1 for $165
