studio one users??? i need help

just got my presonus fp10, and krk rockit 5's and i cannot get them to work right, i get a MASSIVE static sound and no instrument playing. idk what do to help!!!!!!!!

found out its the software, not monitors due to the fact that im using a laptop and has speakers built in and unplugged em and used the stock speakers and its doing the same thing.

um, wait. you plugged your KRK's to your laptop sound card?

right signal flow would be like that:
laptop->firewire cable->presonus->TRS cables from line outputs on presonus to KRK TRS input.

figured out the problem, good advise to anyone using firewire and using a laptop, buy a express card with only firewire inputs. figured out that a usb and firewire express card will interfere with the signal path. the way i have it set up is, laptop-fp10 and from the krks plug into the fp10.
