Hello. I purchased Event PS-6's and currently have a turtle beach santa cruz card on my pc. The jacks on that sound card are as follows:

[1] Versajack (analog out, digital out or analog in)
[2] Mic
[3] Line In
[4] Front
[5] Back

I am having a very hard time figuring out how to connect my new monitors to my sound card. Naturally, I wish to take advantage of having 2 monitors, but a really loud mono signal wasn't what i had in mind. I'd be very grateful for any help anyone might provide me with.

I also own a tascam 424, perhaps this broadens my possibility spectrum. (?)

Your "fronts" are stereo. I believe you can use an 1/8" stereo "Y" adaptor into this jack.

I don't know what's on your PS-6's (banana plugs, binding posts), but you can put any kind of ends you need on your "Y" leads.

Good luck and welcome to the site.

For the sake of clarity...

getuhgrip, thanks very much for responding.

The PS6's have 1/4" and xlrs.

If you don't mind, i'd like to make certain i'm clear on your advice.

Since i have only one "front" jack, I would insert a 1/8" y adapter into it, then i'd place two 1/8" cables into the split-ends, then I'd adapt for the 1/4" inputs on my monitors?

thanks again

Yeah, I think that should work for you. Just another trip to Radio Shack!

Actually, I'd run RS's 1/8" Headphone adapter into the Turtle. It's a "Y" with two 1/4" stereo jacks (42-2463). And then a pair of 1/4" lines to your monitors.

Thanks!

P.S. radio shack is getting sick of me. I don't know how many times i've declined subscription to their flyer.

Ya gotta give them their due......
Nobody would actually buy stereo equipment, recording gear or computers from them, but when it comes to gizmos make things work, they're pretty damn handy!
