Well Shakes,
I'm sure you didn't mean to be disrespectful.
How ever you are arrogant.

Cyan
Maybe you can return the NS-10's and get the M1.
Roger Nichols has suggested them over many Brand named monitors.
He claims he usses them and likes them very much.

Dude that was so uncalled for shailt, I think maybe you should not be so quick to open your mouth. And maybe if you do you should know more about who you are mouthing off too. Please tell me how my stating my opinion is arrogant? I think your statment is arrogant as well.

Wow. Everything I always wanted to know about NS10s and 2020s, but was afraid to ask. I guess that fear was possibly at least a little rational after all. How about breaking the pace with a question from a newbie? I am debating whether I want to continue clinging deparately to the Roland learnig curve (VS1680), or dump the whole lot and go with Digi 001 or similar. In any case, I am curious about the Roland DS-90 "modeling" digital monitors. Has anyone used a pair yet, and if so what did you think?

Well back to the original post...

I'd like to ring in with the Event PS5 Nearfields...

While they are the "puppies" of the bunch, I've never been happier with my mixes... They perform just as well as the big boys, except I've heard they can only hear down to about 50Hz accurately - But heck I can't hear the difference anyway...

These are stout little puppies with a lot of bang for the buck (499.00 US)...

In terms of your question on "internal amplifires" - I've always been a big advocate of internal amps with speakers... It allows the manufacturer to custom tune the crossovers and the amps themselves to the speakers they have designed... I think it's a much better thing to let the manufacturer understand the technicals of "their" speakers for you... You only have to listen and choose the monitor that best fits your need...

As I understand it, also - The 20/20s have an adjustable crossover to tune the speaker to the acoustics of the room...

I've also heard some great mixes on NS-10s, too...

Choose the monitors that yield the best results for YOU...

(ok, I'm pulling out my umbrella now....)
