Vari...Cool...I hope I can do it without a click, but I'll try my best. I'm at work and it's a long day for me. I hope you don't mind leaving it up until tomorrow. Not saying I won't do it tonight, but I'm not 100% sure I can. If not, I'll do it tomorrow for sure.
Also, if it's not too much trouble, can you put it up with no vocals. It will probably be easier to play to with no click if there's just music. If it's too much of a hassle to do, don't worry about it. Thanx.

Yeah man no sweat...I will have to do the vocal-less/drumless version when I get home from work tho....I will leave it up as long as you need it ...when ever you have time,no big deal..

Dogman... I dig it man!!!You sing it with a lot more emotion then I do...I really tried to get my voice rougher..I just got to self conscious...yeah,the phrasing is real tricky on this isn't it?I can't tell you how many times I had to stop and restart just cause I got tounge tied! :p . I love motorhead and this definetly has that vibe.I think in Rock, being able to sing with feeling and attitude is key.I like the long "stone freeeeee" at the end.Cool man.
Thanks for taking the time to do this, its really cool have somebody else something new to this song!Bring on Voodoo Chile!!!

Rami...I'm mixing down the drumless version now and should have it posted on my Soundclick site shortly if your still interested!
Thanks for the compliments, man. It was a blast to do. I think all you have to do, is just go for it. No reason to be self conscious. Try and have fun, and put into the song what you'd like to hear. Your voice sounds pretty good to me, and I'm definitely not one to give lessons.....but I think if you just put some ooommppf into it, you will have it. It might take several takes, but that's what's cool about homerecording. Time doesn't cost much, so just try and get what you want for sound.

So, who's got Voodoo Chile, Slight Return done, so I can ruin it next..... :D

I love ruining songs, it's so much fun :D

EDIT: Anyone up for doing "Don't Fear (the Reaper)" with me??? I could do some guitar or vocals. We could have a lot of vocal tracks on that one and OF COURSE... lots of cowbell :D

Oh, I'd give it a shot, if there is something I can do.... :D

Hey man...Where's Variax, I want to do this tune. I'll try to do it anyway, but I think it would be easier if I had a drumless/vocalless track. See what hapens.

I'm here!!sorry been kinda busy the last couple of days,I'll have the vocal less/drumless version up in just a bit!

No problem, I did it anyway. It's up on my page HERE. It's at the bottom of the page.

Man, this was not easy trying to drum to no click and just the music. My timing might not be perfect. Also, I recorded this about an hour ago and then mixed it down right away. I still have the tracks in my recorder if you want me to adjust any volumes. My ears are shot, so I don't know if the drums are too loud or not loud enough.

By the way, I wouldn't mind giving this a shot at vocals. So if you can still upload the drumless/vocalless version, I'll try to sync it to my drum track and sing it.

Thanx man this is a blast....Gotta love fucking music.

Rami!Dude that was awesome..thought the song really came to life...those drums sound powerful!!!I just posted a drumless/vocal less version up there now...Do you mind if I upload it to my soundclick site as well?I would like to add Dogmans version also..they both rock!
Here is the link to the new version...
Stone free no vox no drums

Cool man, put it up if you want. I'll give the vocals a shot tonight. Right on.

Shit, RAMI, what can be said??? Fucking cool. Enuff.....
Variaxman, you really should just re-sing this, and really cut loose. Don't be afraid, cuz this version sounds good, in my opinion. I would just love to hear you really try and make this your song now. RAMI did it with the drums. Now, you have the springboard to make this sound different, if you want.

RAMI, you fucking smoke......in more ways than one... :D

HAHA! I just uploaded a version with vocals. I stayed pretty true to the original, so there's not much originality to it, like with Dogman's version. Take it or leave it, I was just having fun with it. I did a lead vocal and a back. It's HERE. Bottom of the page. This is too much fun.

That was cool, RAMI. I really think you didn't stay too close to the original. You used lot's more dynamics than Hendrix did. And your voice is less mumbly. I dig this. I think it's as original as Axmans. And to be honest, I liked this song by Hendrix, but it wasn't one I would have ever thought of doing myself, just because his version is not a song I found to really stand out as a song I wanted to cover. Hearing Axman do it, I thought it would be cool to do more modern, like his guitar is, but I can't play like that. If I did it all mayself, it would be straight power chords, and real chuggy. That would have ruined it, except for the novelty factor. Him playing a very straight, modern rock version, made me try something different. Now hearing this, it's true, to a point, but also modern. Very cool, and fun. I really dig Axmans vocs on his version, as they are unique. Hearing your version, I knew it was you, for your voice. Both, are sweet versions. This collab stuff is getting pretty fun to listen to... :D

Cool...yeah, for me, the timing is perfect to do this kind of stuff. I just finished a ten song CD, so it's nice to get away from my music and just let loose with a few covers and collabs. I think we have 3 pretty different vocal interpretations of the same song and it's pretty cool. All I need now is your version without the drums. I can sink it up with my drum track and we'll have real drums on all 3 versions. I jsut started recording "No More Mr. Nice Guy". Should have it finished by tomorrow. Gotta love this shit.

man I just listened to the three versions back to back to back, damn that's some good fun right there! :D the collabs rock!!

Just an idea, might sound cool... you guys could set it up with each of you singing a verse and then everybody for the chorus and see how it sounds... just an idea

This is a real blast man!!!Rami,I think you did a awesome job on the vox and drums on this!!!You really "sing" it unlike my almost spoken word "Spock" version  .I wanna thank you and Dogman for doing your things on this...this kinda comes a a good time for me to as my real band has been on a bit of a hiatus and frankly, hasent been to motivated or creative, which has goteen me kinda bummed as I live for this stuff!Any of you guys ever come around Detroit and wanna jam let me know...I have a whole studio in my basement, with a big live rehersal room, control room ,tons of equipment...it would be a blast!!Im gonna put both yours and Dogmans up on 'click so if anybody wants to hear all 3
3 Stone Frees

I don't see them on your page, Ax. I still see the drumless and vocalless versions.

Anyway, I have 2 versions on my page, at the bottom. First one is Variaxman singing, and me playing drums. Second one is me singing and playing drums. HERE
