Spread the word. My friend (Aaron Cramer in Bellingham, WA) had two guitars stolen over the holiday from his home in Bellingham, WA.. I am sure who ever the fucking douchebag is who stole them intends to sell them. Please pass the word along. ANY help would be appreciated.

I'm sure this post won't make the difference, but my intent is to get this post on as many online places as possible so IF these guitars are ever researched online by somebody, it will be obvious that they are stolen.

Here are the details:
Gibson '54 Les Paul Chambered Reissue "Cloud 9", serial number CR44008

Gibson '57 Reissue Les Paul Junior, serial number 741752

Both were in black hardshell cases.

If you see or hear anything please contact the Bellingham Police (360) 676-6913 then contact aaron at aaron@mmguitars.com

$500 reward for their safe return being offered by musicmachineguitars.com -

I wish your friend luck. I've had 2 guitars stolen, and they still break my heart.

And I had 2 complete P.A.'s stolen, along with the trailers each P.A. was in.

People who steal from musicians deserve a sacred place in the 4th circle of hell.

ass holes

those theiving ass holes ...... should have there balls blown off w/ a shot gun ............ just my thoughts ....... its hard enough to make it in the music biz ..... no one needs there gear stolen

Sorry to hear about the scum bags that nicked your axes.

This has likely been posted in the past but a good BUMP in any case.

Everyone should have detailed pictures of their favorite instruments and notes of any mods etc. People do get them back. My workshop production shop was turned over many years ago and 9 guitars taken. I got them all back eventually. Luckily they couldn't get into the repair shop..

Spread the word about these at all other boards you may visit.

Wow! Just from keeping an eye out and spreading the word? That's good to hear.

No, the police found significant forensic prints in of all things a french polished guitar that I'd been working on that day. The suckers had gone to lift it off the stand and realising it wasn't done put it back. The ones they took were finished and ready for shipping and some waiting for setups.

The guy who's prints they found had his on record and grassed up the people handling the booty. They were reclaimed in a container destined for Eastern Europe at Felixstowe docks along with a load of antiques they'd ripped from a neighboring workshop. The guilty parties got 2 year suspended sentences. No justice in my book but there you go. The worst of it was the police had the damn things as evidence longer than the thieves did. 2 months work gone for 6 months 5 of those in police store.

What'd freak me out is that they must've known your set-up, i.e that you produce high quality stuff. Either that or they were in the neighbourhood. Hah good ol' shellac!

2 year suspended sentance ???

i like my way better ........... then they cant breed ...... and eventualy man kind will surpass there kind

I've moved workshop since but then it was in a well known London warehouse conversion that catered for specialist crafts. There were Milliners, antique restorers, all the old trades. It got ridiculously expensive and I hated the commute. It was never very secure and in an area of London at the time rife with crime. I believe it's gone now and replaced by a shopping arcade. Its soon to be part of the Olympic Village.. progress of sorts I suppose.

The prints were in the oil not the shellac by the way. Shellac is touch hard in under an hour. I french polish with walnut oil and shellac and then spirit off with alcohol. The oil sits on top until you remove it with alcohol. That makes the whole thing soft for a while thats what I was about to finish. An hour later and there would have been no prints..

or ?

or they could be punished the old way ...... tie them to the back of the truck ........ just to see how fast/far they can run ............. but i guess i am kind of a prick ..... thats just me

Two guys were caught trying to sell one of the guitars to a store that aaron had emailed.

The guy at the store recognized the guitar and stalled the guys trying to sell it while he called the police. The guitar they had been trying to sell was returned.

Neither of the guys that stole it have a permanent residence and aren't talking, so it's going to be tough to find the rest of the gear.

Thanks for your concern.

You need to contact the prosecutor in their case and express how important this merchandise is to you. He'll be able to plea-bargain for their return.

hang out at your local pawn shops. Most often you can bust the guy as he tries to sell them. Or at least alert the Pawn Dealers about your situation.

If they police have been alerted and serial numbers given they generally get those numbers into the hands of the pawn brokers. There's somekind of system or something the pawn shops have to use.
