My bad if this is not the right section to be posting in.

Friend has one of these babies and we were trying to direct the sound out of the amp to my 002. We either got no signal to digi002 yet sound still out of amp speakers, or very low quality sound. We are choosing not to mic at the moment do our surroundings. Whats the proper output on these amps. The effects included are a must.

thanks

The original post is hard to read, I'm not sure about what you're asking.

The Stileto has no recording out, so I'm assuming you're using the FX out. There is a switch to turn off the loop, which would result in little or no signal being passed.

It will sound terrible however you do it, and is probably not worth bothering with. FX loops are not for recording. Get a mic, or just use a amp simulator.

Does the stilletto have a "Slave Out" 1/4 jack on the back of it?
Maybe try that?

Choose to mic.

Short answer is if you want to record an output from the amp direct, you're probably going to have to live with that "low quality sound." The Stiletto isn't a Pod - it's designed to push a cabinet, not track direct. It doesn't have a speaker-emulated output, so any output you can take out of the thing will be intended to be "heard" through the filtering effect of a speaker cabinet. In other words, it'll sound fizzy as hell.

You could try running a FX send into your 002, and then using some kind of impulse-driven software cab simulation, but really your best bet is one of two things - first, buy a speaker simulator, something like a Palmer, and run the speaker out into that, and that into your computer. Second, suck it up and just mic it up anyway.

Of the two, I'd go with the later.

We were going to use the fx loop but now you say that, using a mic would be a must.

any average mic will sound better than recording direct.
