Hi,

I need to change my mixing flow since monitor outputs on my soundcraft does not work. I want to take main stereo bus from mixing desk back to hd24 to capture mix from my console and then monitor hd24 outputs.

So what can I use to preamplify signal coming from alesis hd24 recorder, going to my powered monitors (krk v4) ???

regards

THe HD24 should have line outputs and the monitors should expect line level.
Unless I'm missing something, you don't need any preamp.
You will, however, want some way to attenuate the output; a volume control of some kind. Does the HD24 have that?

Never mind.....I should have known it would be corrected. :D

I've got a couple like the ATTY I built long time ago with parts from Radio Shack. That's like the simplest thing to build with parts from Radio Shack. Eh... never mind... there is no Radio Shack anymore. Well Fry's Electronics then or mail order from Digi-Key or Mouser, etc.

The ATTY and what I built does not "preamplify." It only attenuates.

But the first question that came to mind was, "What is wrong with the monitor outs on your Soundcraft and shouldn't you fix that first?"
