I want to set up a dedicated stereo mic configuration in my studio space to allow the option to quickly and easily record my band's rehersals from my Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) without the fuss of grabbing a line out from the P.A. mixing board, adjusting levels, etc.Grabbing just the line-out won't capture any unmic'd instruments like the drums and purcussion. I just want to be able to hit record and capture the entire room sound directly into my DAW so we can all leave with recordings for reference.
I would also like the quality to be decent enough in case we do capture something cool, I want to feel good about the quality. I was checking out some Shure overhead condenser mics.
Any mic suggestions or advice?
Thanks!!!
Mark
