Alright, well in the microphone section you'll find a link about me trying to record steel drums, if your intresteded. Anyways, i rented a small mackie mixing board, an apex 410 condensor, and also used a shure sm58 i already have, and i recorded some steel drums.
The guys in the thread wanted me to post my stuff up, so im going to put up what i've got so far.
keep in mind its really rough, and not nearly done, just showing what i managed to recorded of the steel drums with my current setup, and maybe any feedback on how i should edit/eq the steel drums, or my mix so far.
Im just in the process of uploading, but i wanted to know what the standard practice was here. Just convert to mp3, about 128 quality? They don't get any legal rights to my music or anything like that do they? Cause if i released it, it would be under my name, totaly independant, and i don't want them having anything to do with it.
