You still havent given us a budget... without it, we cant really point you in a good direction. Also, is this a one time thing or are you going to start recording more songs?

For a one time thing, download fruityloops demo. It will give you alot of instruments to play around with.

Your keyboard may have MIDI ins/outs but that is not for the trasferring of audio. It only transfers data. Basically MIDI turns the keyboard into a trigger of a software instrument you have set. I think you need to do a little research before spending to much on things you may not need or are useless for what you need to do. Good luck.

Ooooh, no way. I got FL Studio Producer and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone since I found Reaper. Its a crappy, unintuitive workflow in Fruity Loops.

I dont think you can save in the FL demo so you have to get it all done in one sitting or leave your computer running Lol. Plus the demo synths are crippled with dropouts.

For once off thing, I would recommend going to professional studio.

Otherwise. Reaper, Addictive Drums demo and Native Instruments Komplete 7 Players.

welcome to the site...seems you are getting all good information..if it hasnt been said dont forget to check c'list as theres plenty of stuff being sold as people grow out of things or dont take their hobby any further

the biggest problem you'll have with your limited experience and limited time will be producing something that will be listenable to...not so much the actual playing, if you are a decent player, but the processing and mixing..even if is just for your auntie

so Id suggest tracking as well as you can and post the tracks (stems) up here to download and i can guarantee someone will mix them for you, if not gimme a yell and ill be only too glad to help with my limited experience

but get a move on as youve got quite a bit to learn, download that reaper and get stuck in! its all great fun :D
