Hi, anyone who has experience with home studios or pro studios this ones for you!
I am new to recording in my home. I usually go with my band to the studio, but id rather invest that money into something i can really have fun with like my own studio.
Ok well basically i need to know what i need to start!
I have a computer thats really fast and up to date with performance, and i have protools and Sonar XL 2.0,
but my main question is, when i get my mic's, how am i going to hook all of those into my computer?
i can run the programs, but i cant get anywhere until i can get the mic's to run into my computer.
Are there any special preamps or rackmounts that i need?
Any one that has suggestions for any thing i mentioned (or anything youd like to suggest in general of recording equipment) then please let me know what you think. I am not looking for the best in equipment, but equipment that will get the job done in an alright quality.
thanks
Greg
