Just curious as to who did all the rating stars all of a sudden this morning.

Never use them myself because I don't think it gives a good visual representation of the poster's intent.

In the current rating system the excellent, good, avg, bad, terrible ratings all have different numbers of stars, however the visual impression of one star is "good", two stars, "better", etc., so it seems misaligned to me. Shouldn't they go from "good" on up?

Tim

Personally, I never pay much attention to the stars, except when I see it mentioned. I always forget about it myself. It's kind of like the rep point stuff....It's arbitrary for the most part. Just someones opinion, and still needs to be judged by yourself for it's true merit. If rep points meant anything, I'd be a musical/ recording genious.... :D

Ha, I noticed the dragon cave got taken over too. I wonder what criteria the person used when taking the time to go to every thread and rate it.

Yeah 1 person's 1 star rating can make a whole thread look bad with the "average of 1 star"

I never even noticed and have no idea how to give stars. I thought the rep system was useless enough, now we're dealing with subjective "stars"???

Yeah, I noticed that you could rate a thread a while back. Nobody ever did it though, then all of a sudden somebody came along this morning and rated every thread in here and the dragon cave. If you hold the mouse over the stars you can see how many votes the thread got and the average and they were all "1" Weird, AND SHOCKING, eh?

Hmmmmm... NONE of my threads have even ONE star... guess they haven't figured out how to give negative stars yet...

Bah! What's with the stars? Who really cares if a thread has how many stars? Most readers will pretty much give any thread a fair chance. :)

I agree it's better to comment in the thread than to rank it with stars.

So who did it?

Tim

Must admit, I did this one, just because it was the theme of it... :o

I've been giving this thread a terrible marking thinking that the stars would go away. No luck.

If you arrange your threads by rating this is the highest rated.

It is a nice tune and all, though I'm not really sure about the rating. :D
Yes, but that timboZ, no relation to Timothy Lawler, sure knows how to use his talents. I guess if both "Tims" worked on a collab, they would get a 10 star rating together.... :D

Timothey Lawler's talent combined with Timboz's gear??? I think that's illegal in 12 states.

Dog can we use your bus and hit the road.
Do you wand to be the beerboy/manager?

I ignore the stars and rep ratings. What I do pay attention to, is lots of wonderful advice I have picked up here! Walter

Well, yes, but Chiclets™ are a tasty treat. The flavor lasts a long time.
