STANDBY SWITCH - Clarification

wow what a thread lol....

with my JCM2000, when i turn it on, i turn on POWER first...let it warm up, then hit standby so that the sound comes out of it. then when i turn it off, i flick standby with power still on, let it cool a bit, then flick power off. my friend did this since he got it in '03, and i've done it ever since i bought it from him in '08....hmmm

See there, hit, and 'flick. How simple was that to avoid all that confusing 'on=off/on in/out 'standy' mode?
Done. :D

Since some of you seem to be baffled by a simple 2 position switch maybe you should hook your amps up to a "clapper". Using it in a live situation should not pose any problems as applause will most likely be nonexistent. :D

I've only had Fenders back when and it was pure auto muscle memory- Reach around back, index finger flips standby down, amp goes quiet/wait mode then power off with the second finger, reverse, second finger first for power up.
Now with the LoneStar I'm still hittin' the wrong damn one on break! :o

...Turn SS on, leave PS off- amp in standby mode, all tubes (pre and power) show faint red glow.
Turn PS on- amp powered up fully and ready to play..
Is this for real though? They've had to have completly flipped the meanings.
