Stage inst. headphone monitor + passthrough.

Hey all.

Just having a google but I guess I'm getting the terminology wrong.
Do they make these for instrument level?

Better yet, could I make one?

Basically, If I'm playing DI acoustic guitar or bass live, I'd like a little box that I plug the guitar into.
It'd have a passthrough output to the PA, and a headphone output with level control.

I rarely play live, but I struggle to hear myself. That's fine because I know what I'm meant to be playing, but can be very hard to tune up!

Plug the instrument into the DI and run the DI through that box to the board.

I don't have a DI box. I'd going straight into an instrument input on the PA.
Good suggestion though! I hadn't thought of that.
