I've got space limitations so I am currently stacking my interface on top of my power distributor. It doesn't seem to cause any problems but am I unknowingly frying my hardware? They are both rackmount units so I figure that in a rack they would basically be stacked together but I just want to make sure. Sorry for the uninteresting and lame topic...

Are you talking about just two rackmount units?

If so, you are not likely to encounter any problems.

The main concern is heat build up.

You're not going to "fry" anything, and the way modern gear is shielded you're not likely to induce any interference either, but best practice is separate power and recording gear by *at least* a rack space...several spaces is better.
