going against the grain to many guitar players...I was never really a big SRV fan. That said, the delay on the vocals works for me, and the guitar playing is good too. This song has the qualities of SRV stuff that I didn't really care for either....his sound and the midrangy feel that it gives. But, I would say that those qualities might be a plus in this situation. Stray cats...a smokin player too...but MOST of their stuff...but not all....I could care less about it too. The blues progressions I could enjoy were from people like Johnny Winter, as an example.\

I think the people that like brash, balls to the walls, thrashing blues will like this too...mix and all.

yeah..the slapback was actually very non obtrusive to me..fit well.

You caught the vibe exactly...

Good guitar work! :) Not very good singing... :(

The drums were too drum-machiney for my taste. The guitar sound was fine, but the whole mix was a bit too monochromatic; I think there need to be a little more dynamic range in the solo, it should rise out of the backing tracks a bit more rather than being right in it.

Hey,
I will check this one out as soon as I've time to download. I'm still on dial up and it takes awhile. I dig SRV and the blues in general so, you've my curiousity piqued.
Until then,

Theron.

Nice cover. The band was tight and the tune had alot of energy. Commendable git chops for sure. I didn't care for so much delay on the vox. It didn't fit for my ears but, the song did what it should, ROCKED!

Very solid job,

Theron.

Thanx, but there was no band.
It was just me in my bedroom.
