I like SR16 functionality. BUT these factory drums sounds are bringing me down. (unless I'm doing jazzy stuff)

I got the machine in 1991. Is there any way to replace the original sounds?

Lift up the Power cord and slide ACID 3.0 under it. =)

Yo Dex:

You can program a drum machine, usually. But, that takes time and time and more time.

However, you can plug in the Boss 770 drum box and have some very nice presets to set around with. Also, you can get in there and program your very own drum pattern.

I've been through three drum boxes. Yamaha, Alesis, and Boss. And, of course, each one got better sound and SOUND is what you're after, good sound.

Oh, yeah, man, you can spend more on a couple of other drum boxes, but what is your "need?" How technical or fancy do you have to be other than having a REAL DRUMMER?

Look around, listen around, and, in a round about manner, you will find the nice ROUND sound of a drum box.
