Hey there,
I've got an Alesis SR 16 drum machine and thought, wouldn't it be cool to take the patterns I have on that and put them into Acid 4.0. The best of both worlds for this one man home studio.
I tried this with a simple, preset rock pattern. I brought it into Sound Forge and cut it to what I *think* would be a well rounded loop. I'm not entirely sure I got the Acid loop properties right, but I can load it into Acid and paint my drum track...kinda.
In winamp or SF, the loop sounds great. In Acid, there's this weird phasing thing going on. Here's a link to the loop (approx. 700k).

I am guessing that the loop is not quite the perfect length...off by just a slight something or other in the BPM, so Acid makes it sound phased/flanged.
Any ideas or pointers in the right direction are appreciated. It sure would be great to bring some of my custom patterns into Acid. TIA!
