I'm not going to go real deep about this so here it goes....."I think there cool" I have the monies to get the alesis M-1s but I want to go ahead and save some more to get the mackies...I do rap / r & b music and I like hearing that bass

I auditioned them at Sam Ash and the M-!'s dont provide an actual flat-response needed to monitor 1's own mix. They're decent but no where near Event monitors 'specially the TRIAS.

...

I could have gotton the Events for $100.00 more and I know what a mistake that was now..

For right now, the Alesis #1's will have to do, but If I start getting the knack of studio production, they'll be the first thisng to be upgraded..

Event's are a possibility, but I'm also considering the Tannoy moniters. (sp)

And opinions on that make?

When I was monitor shopping one of the comparisons I made was between the Event PS6's and the Tannoy Reveals - the Tannoys are nice, but I preferred the Events..........

Speaking from experience, you really can't go wrong with the Event PS8's. I facking LOVE mine. Nice tight DEEP bottom end, and a certain intagible 'presence' to the upper mids that I just love; makes everything really clear, and you can hear every nuance of your mix.

I listened to everything available in the price range, and although the 20/20bas's are sweet, I couldn't see spending the extra $150 (at the time). These blew away the monitor one's as far as range (which isn't a fair comparison, cuz of the difference in woofer size). The 8's use the exact same components as the bas (including enclosures) except for the amps.

By the way ... the bottom end is rated down to 38hz ... That's damned low. All but the lowest rumbles come through tight and sharp. If you got the money, get these!!!

Get the Events PS8's. Well worth the money. I got mine and agree with Gabriel. They beat the Alesis M-1's hands down.
