I liked this song because of the way it makes me feel.:D

Pretty cool! You'd better watch out Slackie this one's gonna be hot on your heels.

I can't believe this girl is only 15! You may have prodigy on your hands!

This one's going in my playlist. And believe me there isn't much I get off this board that goes in my playlist.

Yo Bo, you should let her mix YOUR music!!! :D

I will not comment on the style as much as the technical stuff. Songwriting skills improve with practice like most things, and the little lady could really think up some great stuff if she keeps at it. This is a great idea for it being only her second try at "composing", so hopefully, she will "compose" a whole CD this year and give it out to friends and family for Christmas!!! ;)

Now, on a technical level, YEE HAA!!!! She outmixed just about every person on this BBS! Excellent balance between the parts, and the EQ in the upper mids is very smooth, but still present. I understand that Bo needed to cut some stuff 60Hz and below, but shit, that is a natural mistake when people first start mixing. I am telling you all, this kid could be an excellent mixing engineer within a years time with the right direction (technically speaking...).

Good job kid. I hardly ever give glowing reviews on mixes I hear around here. But I gotta admit, I wouldn't have mixed that ANY differently than you did. You have a gift, use it!

Hey Slack,

She did a great job and seems influenced by your style. Either that, or that's what Fruity Loops and a sampler lend themselves to. The stuff with the arpeggiator was fun. Almost hypnotic. What are you two implanting in our brains?

Very cool

Hey Slack,
Fun recording! I'm gonna go look for your stuff now. I'd like to recommend Mr. Bungle's "Disco Vilante" when she turns 18!

Aaargh, now it hangs my browser and crashes explorer!

I'm trying slack, I'm really trying!

Reminds me a little of Frank Zappa's "Dwarf Nebula Processional March & Dwarf Nebula" from the Weasals Ripped My Flesh album (cd) Feed her ambitions and she will never dissappoint you! Great 1st effort youg lady, keep up the good work!

Yeah, it's good. I have a thought, though.

It ain't scarey for me. For me, it just sounds interesting. But I think she ventured into somewhat territory scary for her when she put it together. It was her willingness to go into that territory that allowed this piece to emerge.

This is a great big idea. It means that if you extend yourself and go into new territory, other people will respond positively, even if they don't feel the same way you do.

Good work, dudettissima.

Thanks a lot guys. She's read all of your comments and was quite obviously very pleased to get so much positive feedback (even though she probably wouldn't admit it).

Now if you could only see what she can do on paper!

very experimental. Also shows that good techno can be done by anybody. And I mean that in a positive way. The young girl definately needs more encouragement. Now that she's hooked on makn music. Go girl.

Hey Slack,

Got direct link service up and running today. $5/mo. 50MB, 1GB transfer/mo. included, links are instantly available and work from anywhere. No ads or popups, so nobody can really tell the streams/downloads are from NWR without looking at the link code.

You can also stack the Direct/deep link service with the infinite space option... Anywho, check it out.

The DL was really fast for me, about 18 seconds... but I'm at work.

I like it! It does have a sort of movie soundtrack feel at times, an edginess, and expectant quality. But then it gets pumping and it's like a weird chase scene in a cave... And then back to floating in a scary metallic cloud...
