Hello guys, I'm about to start planning my little studio... but I have a question. Considering everything will be done the way it should be... do you guys think I'll have enought sound proofing to record drums at night w/o bothering my wife and neighbours if I build my room with double concrete walls (cement w/ bricks) 4" away from each other, with the internal wall covered with wood? No windows, the floor will be built over fiberglass panels. Any ideas/comments? Thanks for any inputs!!!

No mention of what is going above your head..........so can I presume there is no roof/ceiling. That would be a real problem:D .

The walls actually sound pretty good though.

oops... sorry :)
the ceiling will be similar to the walls, but only one layer. or maybe a double layer also... I need to check the costs...

c'mon guys, I know someone have an idea about how strong the soundproofing will be... just tell me... you think it's enought? or not?

It sounds promising, but until you actually put some of the ideas into practise you wont know just how well it works.

Do you have any preliminary drawings you could post up?
