Hi
Could anyone tell me the best way to set up my Soundcraft M12 with the computer. I currently have 2 Terratec soundcards each with 8 in & outs. I am sending 14 direct outs from desk going to the two sound cards inputs and 8 outputs coming from one of the soundcards back to the inputs on the M12. I want to be able to mix and apply EQ with the M12, but also want to use the plugin effects and processors on my DAW (ie Cubase). The final stereo mix will be mixed back from the tape outs to the PC for mastering with software.
Is this the best setup?, Do i need to use 8 outputs from Sound card to M12. Forgive my lack of knowkedge as am a newbie. Would appreciate any help on how the desk and two soundcards would be best implemented
