Unpossible!
I have an excellent condition Soundcraft Ghost for sale. Comes with the meterbridge, a 40 channel Belden TRS-TRS snake, and two Neutril 48point TRS patchbays.

I can provide pics, just ask and I will email them.

Looking for a local sale if possible as it would be a PITA to ship.

$2950 obo.

for those of us who dont know which woods you are lost in...where is local for you

Ooops....

I am just outside of Portland, Oregon. I would be willing to meet someone halfway if they are somewhere in the PNW.

Also, I will ship the Ghost for shipping cost only - I have the original box.

i will add that i recently bought a 24 channel AH board, with a road case, then packed in a wood crate, and shipping was only 100 bucks freight

Who did you ship it with?

I believe that is a much smaller board physically though - does it have an external power supply?

That would be WAY cool if I could ship it for even $200.......

edit - Just measured the box - it's 10" x 36" x 48" and would weigh a hair over 100lbs - then the PS, cables, and patchbays would be roughly $50 to ship in a seperate box.

Any of the 24 channel Allen Heath consoles should be fairly comparable in size and weight to the ghost. They probably don't have external power supplies though. Good chance there is no meterbridge either on the Allen Heath. The Soundcraft however is most likely lighter weight depending on which year it is:)

On an off note, what did you switch to that you are selling your Ghost?

I don't know which model he has, but most of the models I just looked up were quite a bit smaller and from 50-65 pounds total weight - the Ghost weight 97 pounds w/o meterbridge, power cable, and power supply.

I am only selling it because I am buying a large format console - I just missed an 8068 (before I could get funds together), and am trying to find another, but may go with something else. Either way, it will be a big step up from the ghost - which IMHO is a great bang-for-the-buck board. I have put up drum tracks that were recorded with GR and API pre's, with the overflow going to the ghost pre's - people almost always guessed the high-end pres were the tracks recorded on the ghost! :)

Oh man....

If I hadn't just poured every dime into our remodel I would so be driving into town and snatching this from you... :(

Hmmm....

Maybe I can convince the bank it is part of the remodel...

Oh, and if it's a local pickup, I will include the custom desk I made for it where the mixer "countersinks" into it. It's 8 feet wide. Click on my studio link below for a pic......

the person who sold it was going to originally send it DHL, but UPS was easier and they said they'd take it...

Shipping weight on the board itself was 100 pounds....then the external power supply was whatever extra tossed in another box...

Mainly what I am saying...for a lovely piece of equipment like this...it's worth the relatively small amount of money to ship

Cool.

I tried to get a quote from UPS to ship it to the L.A. Area, and all it would give me was overnight ($903) and two-day ($578).

My zip is 98684 if anyone interested wants to get a quote.....

EDIT - Fedex rate calculaotor said $104 for the mixer itself to zip 90210- so total cost to ship should be well under $200..........

give UPS a call...

works better than their silly calculators for a realistic idea on something this massive

Nope.

I really want a Neve or API - may settle for a Trident though. I'm just waiting to hear back on a few different consoles.......I may have a line on a nice 6k series SSL if your into that sorta thing......

I am hooking up a second 9652 tommorow, I'll let you know how that goes as well.

I live in the St. Louis MO area and I had my board shipped to me from the Columbus OH region. I got a Soundtracs MRX 32, it ways 180 lbs and that plus the four patchbays plus 5 16 channel snakes cost me $700 through Craters and Frieghters.
