Anyone have any experience with these?
and what kind of amp would I need to go with them (I don't need mega power, just clean sound)
can I use a regular hi-fi amp with them, and if not what can I use that's very cheap?

cheers

I have a pair of those! I'm not very experienced using them when mixing (being a beginner), but I have listened to a lot of music (a LOT!) through them, and I'm happy with them. They are a bit on the bright side, but not harsh nor brittle, and they still have a decent amount of low end, dry and tight. Comfortable to work with. On the whole a very full-bodied sound, detailed with excellent stereo projection. Great value.

Your ears could differ from mine, though. As with everything else, try before buy. And there is always better = more expensive stuff out there... that I haven't heard.

I power them with a Samson Servo 150 that I got used for around £80 (using your currency). It's well enough for me. I cranked it to about 50% once - just about what my ears could handle, but the speakers seemed to have no problems whatsoever at that volume.

I suppose most hi-fi amps would do the trick too, but don't take my word for it.

Thanks oysterman

I'll be getting a 2nd hand pair for £130 in the next few days, and I'll be trying 'em out with a cheap 30W amp, which, apparently is OK as long as u dont need any volume which I don't
