soundcraft 200 b/bve

are there any old timers out there experienced with the soundcraft 200 b / bve desks?
specifically, if the power supply is interchangeable as well as the channel strips.
any info or stories or mods related would be great to hear about as well.

I would be interested to know as well, if the 200 BVE power supply is interchangeable with any other Soundcraft series, or if any internal components are. Thanks.

Yes, the 200B and 200 BVE are compatible with each other's power supplies--lot's of their mixers want +/-17V plus 48V.

However, your issues aren't over yet. Soundcraft have various sizes of power supply depending on how large the mixer frame is--the smallest ones (8 input or so) can use a CPS-150 but, as the channel count goes up, so does the spec needed for the power supply.

I don't know about Soundcraft in the USA but their customer support in the UK are very helpful about answering this sort of question--worth trying the US support line or, if they don't help, get on Skype to the UK during British office hours.
