soundcard recommendations

Basslord, you might want to look at today's post about Delta cards and MME drivers before you decide on that one... I'm in close to the same boat as you are - I was pretty sure I was going to get the Audiophile, and now, I'm not sure.

I thought the post referred to mainly windows 2000 users? is that right? I got Windows 98. It's a possibilty I'd use Cool Edit Pro. Assuming I get the Delta should I be all right? I will say if I were to choose between the Delta systems I'd choose the 44...but like I said I've got other choices as well (Soundblaster Live Platinum and Echo Mia). I think with the way it looks I'll try the Soundblaster...mainly b/c of price and since my applications are not that demanding (don't need digital ins/outs, etc.) And if I ever feel the need to really upgrade to a better card I will. Probably by that time Delta will have fixed the problem.
