I gotta question I need the answer to if anybody can help!!!!!

I gotta soundcard (emu 0404) and it has 2 ins 2 outs for the 1/4" plugs.... I got my monitor (wharfedales diamond 8.1 pro) left and rights in the 2 outs and the mic (Rode NT1-A) pre-amp (Grace 101) in one of the 2 ins ...these are for playback and recording !!

My question is when I'm recording in the booth what would I plug my headphones into if all the out's are used?

Good Look

You will probably need a headphone distribution amp, or small mixer for additional routing (main outs on the soundcard to the mixer/headphone amp --> then connect both monitors and headphones to that). Rane, Presonus, and even Behringer have relatively decent headphone amps. I use the Presonus HP4 and have been pleased with it.

Aiight I got an behringer mixer laying around I'll use that but if I'm using it for my monitors and my headphones would the mixer plug into the soundcards In's our Out's...
I'm thinking Out's but when I had my mic plugged up log ago into the mixer I plugged it in the In's ...

which one would I use ins or outs??

Since you are using external preamps (not those in the mixer), the mixer will be used only for routing the output from your soundcard to your monitors/headphones. Therefore, you would connect the L/R outs from your soundcard to the mixer ins.

When you're confused about things like this it very often helps to DRAW A DIAGRAM so you can see the flow of the audio....

I like the Behringer HA4700 4 outs, each has a treble/bass/level.insert mix, and can be mono's (throws some people to have to record to a stereo mix) and a mute.

Not a big fan oof Behringer, but these work well... a little noisy at higt levels, but hopefully you have OK headphones.
