Sound feedback

Hi,
I would like some feedback on a mix I'm working on. I'm self taught and have been struggling to learn mixing techniques for a couple of years now, so any feedback would be great. Thanks

Instruments sound well mixed to me pST. Think you need to lift the vocals out the mix a wee bit more though. They're maybe a little too close to the guitars - maybe a little more mid needed and slightly increase their volume?

But mix-wise this is pretty good! Very straight up, which I like. Nice solid bass and drum pretty much down the middle with the vocal on top, and the guitars filling out the sides with a nice balance. The backups could probably go a bit wider so you can hear them better without making them louder.

I'm listening on headphones, but as long as it sounds reasonable in mono, and the bass holds together when you crank the monitors, I recon you have the mixing pretty much sorted.

Thanks for the replies I tried to adjust the vocals like you suggested Rob, and I think it brought more clarity to the vocals, so thanks mate And also widened the backups, cheers Tobe
