M magma New member Mar 20, 2004 #2 Greetings from Chile! The Sonor Sclass is made in Germany, 100% maple, using Sonor's "tension free cross laminated system shells" That snare is an "affordable" truly prosessional instrument, since Sonor's higher lines Designer and Delite (designer light) are very expensive indeed I have played that snare drum and I really love it!, the sound is absolutely professional..... you can't go wrong with it.... I hope it helps.......
