Sonicformer vs. Waves LinMB

which one do ya'll think is better out of the voxengo sonicformer compressor or the Waves LinMB compressor? Keep in mind that the sonicformer lets you compress stuff all the way to 20khz and Waves LinMB can only go up to 16khz. Thats a big difference. Well just wanted to see what ya'lls thought are about this. It's tough to decide

Definitely Soniformer.

Its a bugger to learn though

but worth the efforts when needed.

Keep in mind though if a mix needs this sort of treatment it is time to consider a remix.

I generally hate maul-the-band compression... It's an uncomfortable band-aid.

That being said - I'm pretty much with Pingu on that one. Soniformer has much more control and general transparency.

i agree with both of you in some ways. i like the sonicformer the best though. it might be hard to learn but it's worth it.

pingu or anyone else...... what about waves linear eq vs. voxengo harmonic eq? which one do you like better out of those 2?
