Hmm, you seem to be all over the map listening to other people's advice and making huge swings in one direction or the other.
Two things to do: 1) walk away from the song for a week. Don't listen to it and don't think about it. Listen to other stuff. 2) Listen to other stuff. Listen to a lot of music in the same genre as your tune. Listen to it on the same speakers you are mixing on. Get some perspective on how it sounds. Don't listen to enjoy, but to study. Listen to each particular freq range, different parts of the songs, etc.
Then, after the one week haietus, apply what you've been hearing to your song.
The car suggestion is good, but only because it is a very familiar listening environment. If you don't have a stereo in your car and/or don't know it well, then it isn't going to be a good critiquing platform. So, probably not something you want to do at this point.
To me, you song has too much kick in it. That's probably the 8db @ 80hz thing. It makes me wonder what room you're mixing in. Gotta have a good acoustically treated room to get nice mixes.
