Song location

Newbie here -

I want to record drum and rhythm guitar tracks then add a vocal track. Am having a hard time finding the correct locations in the song for the vocal. Have tried track markers. Any tips or tricks please.

How about a little more info?
Presumably you know where they go, but you're getting lost along the way? Not sure why you can't set markers up.
Maybe rough it in with a ref. vocal first.

1. Are you sending this mix to someone else to do the vocal? or
2. Are you doing the vocal yourself, and if so, why would you need to mark it for yourself?
3. Is the vocal already tracked and you are trying to line it up?
