Sonar wish list

Well some improvement with steinberg mastering edition and sonar... at least the plugs opened this time.... used to get an error message when opening free filter. I did try to do a destructive edit on a wave in sonar (with free filter) and it crashed the program. I think spectralizer was the other one I had problems with in cake and cep. They work okay in other programs....so, I guess this is not technically a "fix" yet.

Ususally when I use Steinberg, I use it in Wavelab for final mastering, and I use the Waves L1 to dither.
I havent tried using them within Sonar, but I will eventually, cause I have some ideas about freefilter that I want to try that will be the ultra bomb if it works.
I'll let you know when I try it.
Keep posting, we'll get this thing going soon.

Dx plugins i have are the default cake 9 and sound forge 5.0. u can press the print screen button on the key board and go to mspaint and press paint and there goes the screen shot....would be greatly appreciated

No user presets here... I usually get everything sounding a certain way from scratch. If you rely on presets, you could start getting yourself in a sound rut. Better to get everything where you want it according to the individual song, I think. But, do keep notes on what sounded good. :)

Ooops!

Damn, I nearly forgot about this thread and what was intended to become of it. Lets get this thing sent out? Anymore ideas before I write?
A few I have:
Support Rex 2.0 type files
One idea that will probably NEVER happen but would be the ultimate idea ever... someone, prefereable Cakewalk but whoever, needs to create a DSP/Mix farm card that links directly into Sonar and guarantees track/plug in count. This would basically make it ProTools, only better on some fronts. What more could you ask for? 24 non stuttering, never dropping out, plug in heavy tracks for each card for under $1000. Paris and ProTools would be crazy trying to get $4000 or more after that. This really isnt alot to ask. With the cost of processors and ram right now, they can make a card for under $1000 and still make good money, AND, everyone would want it. It would even get more people to buy Sonar. I can't imagone SOMEONE not doing this.
Anyway, post em if you have em, I'll get this rolling monday for sure.

how about the interface? sonar may have it i just don't know but Reason has a MIXER style interface wit envelopes in plain view and easily changed wit the click of the mouse....if sonar has this tell me how to do it....

It does have a standard mixer interface, and it has major envelope support. Easiest to read the manual, I guess.

Tubedude..... GREAT suggestion. If a card were available for sonar which guaranteed 24 effects heavy tracks, all I could say is Sign me up now!!!!!!!! (You listenening cakewalk??)

As cheap as processor and converter chips are now, they could get in well under a grand. On-board memory with snap-shot would be nice.

where is the mixer interface? i hope u don't mean the console or is it one of those library content files? and WTF is the decay, attack and release Filter envelopes? the help didn't help
