Univalve & Avatar Speaks
Going to be tracking a rhythm section tomorrow. I found out that the Bass player wants to record direct via a Bass POD(I don't yet have a bass amp and he doesn't want to tote one in).
I'm using SONAR 3.1.1...the guys are going to play a couple fusion rock/jazz pieces. Then next week the vocals and guitar solo stuff will be done.
The question is, should I capture the Bass in stereo or mono? It seems kind of weird to me to even ask that question. The input to the POD unit is a single input...there are two outputs on the POD but how could that possibly be "stereo" unless there's some effects processing going on inside the POD? I'll have both POD outputs going to my Delta1010 inputs 3&4 then in SONAR, the option is to take both inputs as stereo or mono. I did a little further looking into the POD...I guess I can also take a single output (disregard the "right" channel).
I'm a little confused about some of the terms here. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
