Hi

Guys Trying to record my first guitar thingy ...
and recorded some stuff @ 120bpm
new when I import these files to sonar they never seem to run in sync . allways a little behind or ahead ..

These wav files are 16bit stereo samples sampled @ 44100Hz

could this be the problem ?
and are there any ways to resample these files?

It's quite possible that the files doesen't start at the same time. Where did you record your guitar and did you record your guitar to a metronome?

Why didn't you record in Sonar to begin with?

:)

I recorded those first tracks with CEP
if I export my sonar drumtracks to CEP evryting is perfectly in sync ...
but importing to sonar (coz its easyer to make loops etc.. )kinda introduces delays

good remark though perhaps I should have but Im too lazy te to retrack that stuff again becouse its a waste of time as long as the song isnt finished ...
I wanted to chop the tracks up and loop them in order to
1 program my drums in a more realistic way
and 2 bring structure in an unfinished song that still might need some flexibility.....

There shouldn't be a problem with the import function, unless the marker is moved between each import.

Is CEP exporting right?

perhaps that is the tricky part I saved an imported sonar wav file and imported it in sonar again and its perectly in sync
perhaps I saved those previous ones as session or the tracking was a bit off in the loop
(if you screw that up it gets worse evry iteration ... )

Bingo! Always use Snap-To-Grid when exporting and Importing. :)
